Hi there,

My sustain-pedal looks really crap.
And my question is, how should I get this thing look good again.
It's a Fender Rhodes-pedal, so it's the silver one.
Should I sand it? Is it bullion ?

Here are some photos of the pedal. I think the green dots on the sides of the pedal are oxidation.

I would give "Never-Dull" a try. It's a "magic wadding polish" and I got rid of some dirt on my rhodes' legs.

Kind regards.

That should be available in Holland, I might go to the our local hardware store for it tomorrow.

Thanks!

How did it go?

I meant to post a while back about the "Never Dull." It'll work wonders on it's
own, but found out that it you use a dremel and buff it after you'll, get a luster like no other!!!

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've thought possibly a certain grade of steel wool might restore the shine without making scratch marks.

Sand it with 80 grit paper along the same sanding grooves that was left by the factory. It is an aluminum casting.

Then put 2 coats of lacquer on it. It will look like new.

That was the kind of stuff i wanted to hear really, know i know sure i won't sand of some coats of it which will prevent it from rusting (now i know it cant rust it's ok)

I will try it with the copper stuff first, if that doesn't work, i'll use some of that steelwool my mom uses to clean te stove :D, and if that doesn't work i'm going to sand it.
