Hello all!

This is my first post on this forum! I have been on this websites many times since it has a lot of very useful information on the rhodes whenever i was stuck.

However, this time i have a little problem (i hope) that needs to be fixed asap (because I am playing this upcoming friday).  I was playing the rhodes and then the sound got cut.  I was surprised and figured it might of been a patch cord problem or something... but no, so i had to open it up and go check... to my surprise, it seems like a little wire broke (those long wires that are connected to each pickup).  Please look at the picture below.

What can I do to fix this and get full sound?

Wow what caused that?  It looks burnt.

Did you accidently feed power back through the pickups?

thanks geyster, i might try to solder it tomorrow (gotta go get some lead).

for the burnt looking wire, i was playing as it happened, so a short probably happened.

The mysterious break in the pickup wire has been there for a long time, you just finally tickled it open.

Some [expletive deleted] adjusted the pickup position using a pair of dykes to tug on the wire.  The wire on the back right got spread open, but the wire in front on the left got severed.  After this stupid mistake, the perp pushed the cut ends of the wire so that they were touching, and didn't bother to solder the joint.

This is what dykes look like:
