I am looking for a replacement fuse for my 1972 Fender Rhodes Eighty-Eight.  It specifies a 2 amp slo-blo fuse on the side of the cabinet, but I can't find one that fits properly (or which looks like the original).

I'm having difficulty finding any information online.  Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I don't remember off hand, but I believe I have used "5A 2.5 slo-blow" without any problems.  I believe those are a very standard size.

Please don't sub a higher amp fuse. It only comes into play if you have a failure, but it's an important safety feature.

This should be fairly widely available, but check in auto parts stores.

And there you have it thanks again Rob!

I don't want any Rhodes lovers to get zapped.

At my the school where my wife teaches, you get "zapped" when you don't finish your homework.  I'll have to send one of the kids in with a blown fuse and burn the ends of their hair off as an excuse sometime.
