Hi there
I have a question :

what about a" Fender Rhodes" from 1974 with both logos "Fender Rhodes" on the front and case BUT  a "Rhodes" manufacturer sticker logo  on the wood.
.the wood also has the numbers 22-74

is this normal or is this a "Fender Rhodes" only from the outside and a "Rhodes" from the inside?and the parst have been "mixed up "on repair ect..

thanks

That was right at the transition point, so the Rhodes branded parts must have been newly manufactured, while the Fender Rhodes parts were older stock.

hi there.
honestly, I would give a damn about the stickers and logos.
search for the sound and the keyboard you like and dont care if the names says Fender Rhodes, Rhodes only or for example Clavia (ups, who said that   ).

the things I would like to know if I would meat a 1974 Rhodes concern the parts and their state.

kind regards

Hi!  this was very common for the end of 1974.

I'm surprised I don't have any pictures handy, but the first thing to change was the Gold badge around later 1974.  Would love to have pictures if you have them handy!  The "Rhodes" Logos came right at 1975.

Somebody wrote the note letters on the keys?!  Argh!

Magic Marker on keys...   That makes my skin crawl!

That was always part of my introductory speech I gave kids and their parents on their first piano lesson.

Harold's "Rhodes" method had a little chart that I believe could set up behind the black keys on an acoustic piano.  Even peel-and-stick labels would have been better.

It could come off with some automobile light rubbing compound :)

I personally DO think the logo's matter, I think when everything is in original condition it will be worth a lot more.

aha, so you want to sell your rhodes ?
I dont believe it. then why the hack are you interested in the value of the piano.
the treasure moments it's giving you with sweet chords and beautiful melodies cant be prized.

that is a bargin!!!! it looks super clean inside, just a few scuffs and the pen mark. here in england you'd pay at least 4 or 5 times that, and that would be a bargin!
