So... I was on my local craigslist the other night when this I saw this ad:

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/msg/984294491.html

I thought to myself... " If he is talking about the CE-1 then I dont care if I have the money or not... its mine!"

I immediately emailed the guy. It was indeed the CE-1 and I immediately agreed to meet him somewhere the next day to get it.

So I get up the next day about noon after being out playing a show the night before and getting in at 3:30 or 4 in the morning and get geared up to buy this pedal. It was about an hour or so from where I was at. I started up the interstate in my Ford Ranger (which I just put a new clutch in) the windows down, the wind blowing in my hair, a bad Bryan Adams song on the radio, It was all meant to be.

SNAP! The transmission in my beloved truck decides to give out. After 196,000 miles, this is the day it decides to do it. When Im going to get a cheap CE-1. Here I am stranded on the interstate w/ no pedal. I get a ride back home and rush to call the guy to tell him not to get rid of the pedal and that I would meet him the next day. He agreed.

I just got home with my $55 USD Boss CE-1 which I already have one of, but Im a pedal freak and I cannot pass up a good deal on a vintage pedal.

Its just that it cost me my transmission in my truck. But it was CERTAINLY worth it! Sorry, but I had to tell of my good fortune!
