Anyone tried this new pedal (BOSS FDR-1 - Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Amp) with their Rhodes?  I can't afford a new amp (currently just using a Roland Cube-60) and this thing seems to offer some bite... Just wondering what other people's experience with the pedal are...

So far I'm enjoying it but haven't quite decided whether or not to drop the cash.

Thanks for the forum and the site, btw... have learned tons here even though I only just signed up for the forum.

Cheers!  :D

I bought it and returned it the same day...I hated it! Didn't like the reverb and hated the "random" pops that are programmed to appear at stupid moments. What I hated most, was the thin sounding signal that came out. This beautiful warm and dynamic sound goes in and somehow gets killed and compressed when it comes out. Rubbish!

hi gunnar - thanks for your response... i'm still up in the air about this pedal. the thing i like about it is the nice crunch a little bit of extra gain gives the sound... I could never get this out of my amp alone. do you have a preferred method or know of any good ways of getting a nice crunchy overdriven sound without adding screaming distortion?

cheers!

Maybe you should look into getting a nice pre amp instead?

If you can get one of them, the Tubeman from Hughes & Kettner is a nice unit.
Tuning instruments makes the band sound thin!
