repeated strikes, quiet thunk kinda sticky
« on: February 01, 2009, 10:30:55 AM »
i have a few keys that when you hit them they kinda die quickly and just go "thunk" while sounding muffly. one of them in particular does this when i either hit it kinda hard or hit it a few times in a row. ive searched through a lot of threads but im not sure what im hunting after.

how can i fix it?

Try searching under "double striking" in the archives. This is when a hammer tip contacts a vibrating tine and dampens it. You may need to reset your escapement to stop this from happening.
