what do you guys thing of this beast vs. its size, tone and what does it diffrent then a amp loaded with valves?
Ive got one for "rent" from my work, dont have anything to compare with really so what do you guys think of it?
in my appenion its kinda cold, and the chorus is nothing speciel (maybe my model is has some error in it) its a good table for my labtop though, but eh, its an expensive table...

im not sure if i want to buy this really... im not impressed enough. want that crisp 70's funk sound.. dont think it delivers that quality.

What do you guys think of it? Any recomendations to improve the signal? or even get another amp... ?

Alright, I like the JC-120 a lot, actually. I recently played one, which wasn't even in real good shape, and - yeah :D
However, I guess I have an idea about which sound you're longing for. Try some tube-driven (Fender) amp. It's a different sound, and maybe that's the right one for you. Back then I ended up buying a HotRod Deluxe from Fender, btw :)

And this with 2 x 12" units in it:

what to go for? i suppose that the Deville with 2 units can play stereo and get a good chorus sound out of it? or am i misunderstanding something?

Mark II

Hold on.
be carefull, the deville has 2 speakers, not two amp sections. both speakers get the same signal, a mono signal, not stereo.
for a stereo setup you will need 2 amps.

kind regards

Oh.. thanks for that vital info. (i assumed that i would be stereo..)
hmm, so to get a good stereo chorus etc i need 2 x hod rods deluxe? or just to get the fender twin reverb re-issue (can already hear my financial advicer calling and yelling at me huh) its a bit confusing for me, so i am greatful with any information from you guys!!!!

The Twin won't play stereo either.

man im green at this! think im sticking with the jazz chorus. since its a brand new one the monitors have to be playd to right? before they sound right..

Anyone ever hooked the rhodes up with an Eventide H3000S/B?

The JC is stereo, and that is important. For the same reason, I have kept an old Polytone (104 Maxi-Brute) 210 that is also has stereo and has a great plate reverb that runs in stereo as well. Not quite as much of a 'brute' to haul around as the JC-120. But if you're hauling the Rhodes the JC should not pose a problem!
