Wurlitzer 140b, how do I re-felt the hammers!?

How do you re-felt the hammer tips in a 140b!? I know about re-shaping, but some of the felts are down to the wood!! Is there anyplace to just get new tips all together?!

No, there is no way to do this except to buy a used action and replace all of the parts.It is a BIG job because you most likely will only find a 206 action. This means you have to remove the glue holding each HAMMER in place on both actions, then swap each hammer. You can not just replace the felts (successfully) You can glue leather over the bare wood, but that's the only other solution.

Also-you should never reshape wurlitzer hammers-they are too tiny.
