last note(#73) pickup is missing

I have one dead pickup. It is the last note ( #73) on the rhodes. i know that the pickup wiring is 6 connected then a cut wire then 6 and 6 etc. without the last note, it becomes a section of 5. my question is this... will this missing note (which i don't care if i ever that note again ) damage the other pickups? For that matter, will the piano ever work like this?
