Hi.  I am looking into a Fender Rhodes Mark 1 that is sold without a sustain pedal.  Could I replace it with any old sustain pedal?  I currently own a generic sustain pedal manufactured much more recently than the rhodes.  Would they be compatible?

Thanks

They have a special pedal.  Its strictly mechanical - not a plug in.

It consists of a fulcrum and a rod to physically push something up in the back.  There are threads on this forum to build your own, or you can purchase a set at vintagevibe.com
