Thinking about adding an on / off switch to control the amp on my 5pin suitcase, on my nameplate.    I have some ideas on the mod.  Tapping off two pins to a SPST switch maybe, but you'd have to leave the amp on all the time.  Anyone else ever attempt this ?

I wouldn't recommend it. Just use a power strip with a switch and a long enough cord to put the switch in reach.

My philosophy is keep every mod you do reversible unless there's no alternative.

I strongly discourage this mod.  Don't screw up your nameplate, and don't leave the amp on all the time.
