Ground wire questions
« on: October 11, 2009, 12:29:08 PM »
After removing my harp for maintenance, i neglected to make note of where the ground wire coming off the RCA jack.  It is only about 5 or 6 inches so it looks like it would attach to a pickup screw.  Is this correct?

Hi ozzyosmond

Are you thinking about the black wire which is running the length of the harp from the top end? If so it attaches to the RCA socket mounting plate.

So get the screw used to attach the RCA socket plate onto the harp and screw that long black wire onto the plate then attach the plate back onto the harp.

Sorry I don't have any images to hand!

Hope this helps.

i think he means the earlier model rhodes,

this earth wire runs from the rca to the sustain rail holding in screw.

there are two of them on the left holding the metal dowel that holds the sustain rail.
