Hello,

I have been lurking around this site for a while now, and I have been fortunate enough recently to acquire my very own Rhodes Mark 1. It has been my dream piano for a while now and when the opportunity came up I couldn't resist.

But I was wondering if you guys and gals could help date my Rhodes. The serial number is 45506 and there is an ink stamp number of 3151 on the wood.

Sorry if I missed a sticky or some information in a search but I was having trouble finding information.

Thanks
-Lyle

I just found the dating link on this site, and it mentions at one point the dating system changes. So my interpretation of my number is 31st week 1975, first work day (Monday). so July 28th 1975 if I'm not mistaken? Can any one confirm this?

You doubt your fine work?

You are correct.  1975.  Week 31.  Day one.

Serial number is consistent with a stage piano in that time frame too.

We encourage you to complete the survey:
