How to quieten Rhodes mechanics to play in the flat?

Hi,

I have Rhodes Mark I (1976) and keys (mechanics inside) does usual tapping (clicking)  sound (especially the highest 2 octaves). When I play through headphones, this taping is noisy and I would like to isolate or lower this not to disturb my neighbors.

Is it possible somehow without changing the Rhodes sound?

Well I doubt that it is loud enough to disturb your neighbors, but the general answer is possibly... There may be some things you can do to make it a little quieter but mechanical noises are considered to be normal in any type of 'piano' whether electric or acoustic. Digital pianos generally don't have mechanical actions so they are quieter, but there are exceptions there also.

You can see if the main noise is the damper arm clacking against the plastic hammer, and you should be able to remove that.
