Converted Wurlitzer 206's
« on: October 10, 2011, 03:40:39 PM »
I have a bunch of Wurlitzer 206's and I restore and convert one at a time to 200 specs. The pianos can be portable or remain on the base. If you are somewhat local to the Orlando area or otherwise interested in one. Please contact me.

Regards, Jamie

Hello, thanks. I only have converted 206 pianos converted to the 200 specs. Unfortunately I don't have any 200a's for sale. I have a few keepers, but I honestly have come to like the tone of the 200 series amps better.

Regards- Jamie

Orlando, Fl.

Please contact me if you are interested in nice converted wurli 206. I have several and they are all very clean and in fantastic condition. I've converted each to 200 specs with the vib activated and the aux line out added in place of the old headphone jack. They are in tune and the action is superb. I take them off of the base carefully and fill the holes and repaint the bottom. The cool thing is that the original 206 console bottom can still be used, just set it back on it and connect the sustain pedal cable and it is back to being a 'suitcase', if you will. I use mine like this at home and when we gig I just take the piano off and use a folding stand.

The amp rails are also in great shape and I rebuilt each amp. In most cases I recap everything, including replacing many if not all of the carbon comp resistors with new carbon film resistors, All of the electrolytics get replaced no matter what. I was lucky enough to buy an entire lot of these pianos from a school and am just restoring one at a time slowly and correctly. These pianos are all really clean and I can say that they have not been abused in their lives. They've been in storage for decades and are now getting new lives. I've watched these going on ebay for pretty decent money in the past few months, and I am not asking a mint, but I do prefer to sell local or just simply have them picked up. I just don't care to deal with shipping on these things.

So if you want a wurli 200/ 206 conversion in great shape for a decent price considering the condition and restore, message me and lets deal.

Regards, J

I have 12 left. I am asking $1,000 each converted, OBO.

Most are not yet converted and I will take $600 Ea. for these.

Does anyone have the contact info for Jamie? I want to get ahold of him about these, but see this thread is probably all but died out.

Thanks!
