Cheek Block Power Supply

I don't know if this topic has been covered, but I have a silvertop that I got in a trade without the speaker cab and I was wondering if this will power the preamp in the piano?  Also, on a side note, where would I get a sustain pedal for this?  I read that you can't use the regular sustain with the suitcase model. Is that correct? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think depending on the date of manufacture, the Silvertops have different preamps. If it's a later one that has the Peterson era preamp, then more than likely it would work.

What I would do if I was you, is email Vintage Vibe about it. I've emailed them before, they're nice guys. First though, you need to figure out what preamp you have. If you can't then take a picture of it.
I'd say that emailing the company that makes them will get you a better and more sure of an answer than asking on a forum.

If you have a late '60s Suitcase piano top, but no bottom, I would guess it has the old Jordan preamp.

At about the 50 second mark of that video, they mention that the power supply sends 28V DC through the 1/4" tip-ring-sleeve cable to the preamp.
