Every time I use the pedal I can hear a click, its not noticeable unless you use headphones but you can hear this at recordings. I need some info about proper ground wiring to the damper bar/pedal. Thank you.

The ground wire to the damper bar is most likely broken or missing.

I assume Steveo is talking about the wire that goes from the damper bar to the RCA jack.
If so, I can't get a picture, but it's a strand of uninusalted wire that runs from a screw on the damper bar to a solder point on the RCA. I would say it looks a lot like picture framing wire, but I'm pretty sure anything would do. Mine kind of loosely goes from one to the other. In the back left corner.

Yes but be sure it is connected to the ground lug of the RCA, not the positive lug.

I do not own a Mk I and can't provide a photo.

You can use speaker wire, or pretty much any stranded wire. Stiff wire will likely break eventually.

I got the same problem here with my ''new'' 1976 Stage Mark 1!
I would like to have more info on the ground wiring of the damper pedal!

Thanks everyone!

Great pic!

On later models, the grounding wire often goes from the RCA jack base to the top of the damper rail - lift up the harp, you'll see 1 or 2 phillips screws holding the swivel pin in place on the left side, just unscrew one of those slightly and wrap the ground wire around that, screw back down.

As a note, make sure that by lifting up that screw a little bit, that it will still hold the swivel pin in place.  Sometimes when people do this the screw sits higher, doesn't contact the pin allowing it to move around, and the pin falls out and damper rail falls out.

this picture is exactly what I needed, thank you. I had figured this out myself but I still wanted to see what it should look like from factory. thank you!
