Hi !

Did somebody compare the Hohner Pianet T (1970) with a Rhodes Mk 1 or 2 ?

Cause i read once that the sound can be pretty close to a Rhodes, if the Pianet is in good conditions, and run into a good valve amp.

It's light and cheap nowadays...

A Horner pianet is suppost to sound like a guitar not a Rhodes.  The Rhodes has a warm smooth sound to it and the pianet has a harsh gritty tone to sound like a guitar
I love the Rhodes....and playing some Funk.

The pianet T can be made to sound very rhodes like if you can live with the crude action and find one that hasn't rusted, as they nearly all have. It's certainly worth a look as a lighter alternative.
