replate tonebars uk

hi, i just had a peek inside the rhodes to see what needed doing as im about to make an order at electrik keys (uk) and i noticed the tonebars were badly corroded almost a grey colour. if i was to have them replated would it have much improvement on the tone???

I've posed essentially the same question in a previous post, and the general feeling is no, they tone bars simply provide mass for the tuning fork function.  Your tone will come from the voicing of the tine, and the pickups etc.
Plating does look nice though!
