Recommended silicon transistors for suitcase amp?

Anyone have a particular recommendation on the silicon output transistors to use in a suitcase amp module? I ordered one kit from Vintage Vibe to do my first module, but after seeing what came with the kit, I'm pretty sure I can handle matching a couple transistors (didn't get that degree in Electrical Engineering for nothing!), and I'll save myself about $50. I'm hoping to use a transistor with similar characteristics to the ones in the VV kit so I can use a similar approach to what they did, replacing the 2.7 ohm resistors with 12 ohm resistors, kind of a "guess and check" method.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Seriously? No one knows? I understand that Vintage Vibe has kind of cornered the market on this stuff, and I respect their ability to do so, but this is not a magical art. I could probably just pick some other silicon transistors at random and make this work, but I wanted to try to use the same or at least similar ones to those that Vintage Vibe provides because I've already done one of my two modules with their transistors, which are not marked for some odd reason.

Any of the old school repair guys have thoughts here?
