Plastic or Wood Hammers?

Hi.  I'm in the market for a rhodes and am wondering if i should be looking for one with plastic or wood hammers?  any suggestions, opinions, and general info would be greatly appreciated.

Plastic hammer rhodes are easier to work on and easy to get a sensitive action from. The 1/2 wood 1/2 plastic hammer rhodes sound good but once things go wrong they take a lot of patience to put right. Later models can be made to sound like the earlier models with the right voicing etc.

from what i hear wooden hammers have more of a
"bite" to them.
the plastic hammers gave a more mellow sound...
