This 120 looks like the back end has been shortened. I asked the seller and he said an amp won't fit inside. Has an RCA jack on the left side of the piano in one picture. Interesting...

That's what was different! I had seen that ad but couldn't figure why it came with the older amp separate.  Might be fun project for someone. Although, probably a major over investment, It would be interesting to see if you could stuff a Warneck amp in it.

Where does it look shortened to you?

It looks normal to me except for the extra jack.

Am I missing something?

Maybe I'm wrong,  but it appears that there are no vent holes on the top towards the back as I have seen on other examples shown on the Internet.  It is hard to tell from the pictures,  but wouldn't there be more space from where the action is and the back of the piano? I have never had or seen a 120 in person so I am just going off images on the Internet.
I am curious if it has or has not been modified.

Looking at the sideview picture you can see the vents on the back of the piano exist, but no room for anything other than a piece of what looks like foam. You can see the separation and sanding of the seams at the chop. Looks like someone was trying to remove some weight from this thing.

Are the vents you see on the top panel or the back panel? I was referring to the top panel when I brought up the vent slots. They may be there, but my old eyes aren't picking them out for me. Regardless, it does seem the action is very close to the back of the piano.
I searched some pics posted on the net last night of 120's and it appears (visually again with aged eyes) there should be at least 3 to 5" depth between the back of the action and the back panel.

I can't see how they would save much weight from the chop. Too bad they didn't just remove the amp and carry it separate.

My 120 has open space at the back for the speaker on the right side, and the amplifier sits behind the action on the left side.  As far as I know, there are 2 versions of the 120 I've seen - the wood-ish one like this one, and the light sand colored one.

The amp is designed just like mine, a slender rectangle so it can fit in the case.  The only difference I see is that the faceplate is mounted right onto the side - so perhaps the outputs came out of the side of the piano where mine is off the back.  The fact that the amp is outside of the piano itself... it wasn't a standalone amp so this probably was shortened somehow.  I don't see how it's amplified with a speaker onboard.

I have owned two or three 120's. I seem to remember at least one did not have vent holes in the top.
Ben s right, they made the Cherry wood cabinet and the beige pebble particle board cabinet. The amp is very long and narrow- it fits in just like Ben said. The 700 used the exact same amp and action, but the cabinet and speaker were different.
