I found a guy in Serbia who sells a Rhodes Stage Piano Mark II 73 keys, from 1979. probably with wooden keys.He offered me it for 400 eur, but I have to buy amplifier Rhodes Janus too for 300 eur.Is that a good deal?He is in a hurry and I don't know much about it but I really want that instrument. Is that a good amlifier? Please help

Mark II

If the piano is in good shape, nothing's missing and everything works it is a good deal. Rhodes (Stage 73) without amp hit the 1250 euros on ebay.de sometimes. So according to that the deal looks pretty good.

I don`t know much about the janus amplifer.
check this one, maybe it is the same:

As far as I know the janus have the same amplifier as the bottom of a suitcase piano, so with a suitcase preamp and a janus system you will get the classical suitcase sound which is adorred by so many rhodes lovers out there.

hope this helps a little bit

Hi.
I think It's a really good deal.I've seen a lot of Mark II but they were more expencive than 400 Euro. Make shure if this particular Rhodes has wooden keys (!). I wouldn't buy a Rhodes with plastic keys.
Good luck!
