Hi all,

I have yet to see a Rhodes suitcase in person and am wondering a few things; vibrations/feedback. Is this a problem with the suitcase Rhodes at all? Will a Rhodes feedback with the amp turned up all the way? Are there rubber mounting grommets between the cabinet and the keyboard?

Thank you all!

I've never heard any feedback in a suitcase like you can get in a Wurlitzer 206. There are no rubber grommets between the halves.
Be aware that a suitcase weighs more than a stage, especially if it's an 88

I had a suitcase that I gigged with, and never had any feedback issues.  The weight issue is worth your consideration, especially if you plan to use it for gigging.

Hi .-)

On the later suitcases (tone control with sliders) you will have no feedback problems, because this preamp has a high-pass right at the input (think of a Stage's BassBoost pot turned right about half way down).

On pianos with the Peterson preamp, you can get Feedback (not always, but in most cases) by turning volume up full and pushing the pedal... There is no high-pass at the input... There are some keyboarders (like Patrick Muller from Eric Truffaz' band) who work with this as an 'effect'...
