The small wires between the pickups are sometimes missing on my piano.
I attached a picture of it.
What are these for and how bad is it to miss some of them?

This is normal. Look at the on-line service manual at www.fenderrhodes.com.

Thanks, I've found it in the manual.
I didn't considder my '80 MKII as an early design model.
