Hi,

Thanks for letting me join the forum.  I have been reading up on Rhodes pianos and think I understand how to get the year the Rhodes was built.  I am going to be looking at one on Saturday and am trying to do my due diligence on it.  It is a Mark II 73, but I can't tell what year it was built.  The asking price is $550 without a pedal and the legs are not original.  From what I can tell from the pictures it looks like it is in good shape.  This will be my first Rhodes if I purchase it.  Thanks for all your time and help.

Awesome, thanks for the info I really appreciate it!

To me, that looks OK for $550. I'm surprised you found a reasonable price at what looks to be a pawn shop.

This would be a good model, a Mark II with wooden keys.

I would check to make sure all notes play - a Mark II with a couple dead pickups or evidence of corrosion could create a headache later on down the line.
