Ive wanted one of these for rather a while, and happened to see one in a local store today.  its a 73 rhodes stage, and appears to be in pretty good shape.  Inside, its stamped "1973", which I assume isnt actually the year it was made, but who knows.

Im 99 percent sure it doesnt come with its legs or sustain pedal, but the top for the case is there and the tolex seemed pretty clean.

The lowest key internals are missing, but the key and hammer itself is intact and all the other keys seem to sound well.

asking price is $320, which appears to be a ridiculously good deal looking at ended ebay auctions.  I'll be waiting at the store in the morning to put a downpayment on it while Im waiting for some ebay sales to come in, but while Im waiting Id love to hear any info or warnings anyone may have!

The excitement is like when I got my first bass! (only more expensive;) )

Take look at http://www.fenderrhodes.com/cgi-bin/faq-display?id=7
to determine the age if you still want to know.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I would try to lower the prize, cause finding/paying for legs, crossmembers (braces) and sustainpedal could be pretty expensive. For example add 95 dollars for a sustain pedal and 55 for the pushing rod at mayorkey. And I don't think that you will find some on ebay for a reasonable prize (although I'am no expert for US ebay). The same is true for legs. Pretty expensive things.

But maybe you are lucky and all the parts that are missing are in the compartment of the top case.

Just my 2 Cents.

I wouldnt pay 320 for a Fender rhodes that probably needs some work (ive never seen a rhodes in a shop for sale that DIDNT need some help!).
My price point is the 1976 stage I bought for $250, which did come with legs and braces and pedal. And that was only a year or so ago. I would try to get this guy down down down to 200 maybe. But that is just me.
