A Rhodes will be on Pawn Stars tonight

I was just looking at the guide for tv shows tonight and noticed that the second new episode of Pawn Stars (History Channel) will feature a "1980's Rhodes". It will be interesting to see what non experts value this piano at..

Thanks Steveo. Which episode is that? We have history channel as well in The Netherlands that starts at 9 pm but the guide only says something about some swords from the Kill Bill movies.

The title is "Up up and away", they are featuring a Superman costume, an old computer, 2 music posters, and a Rhodes. It says that it is a new episode as of tonight.

Unfortunately we're years behind with this serie.

So I DVR'd the show and just watched it.
The guy brought in a beautiful looking Mark V. No mention of a stand or a pedal, but it did have the cover and cosmetically looked virtually new. The seller wanted about double what it was worth, naturally. They did not show the interior. When they showed a little blurb on the screen talking about Harold, the background music was playing... A digital Wurlitzer! UGG!

If you missed it, it should be on next week too before the new episodes.

Well, I'd say that sounds about right for a Mk V. Though I'm surprised a pawn shop would accept such a meager profit margin. I'd have thought they'd offer more like five or six hundred.

I think that they knew the seller wouldn't go that low since he was asking for $5000. It did look nice on the outside. Even still, if they got it for $1200, and sold it for $2500, that's not a horrible profit...

I've played a couple of Mark V's, but I'd never seen a cover for a Mark V before.
