I wish I could do this as a poll. Which nickname spelling for Wurlitzer do you prefer?

* Wurli
* Wurly
* Both fine
* Both terrible

sean

I prefer Wurlie.
But I see Wurly more often

Never noticed it written as Wurli.

I can't imagine having a violent preference for either.

Wurli. I've never seen it as Wurlie that I can remember. I don't care for Wurly because there's no y in Wurlitzer...

can we add "wurlie" and make it "all fine" "all terrible?"   ;)  thank you for making poll.

DocWurly

Wurlie or Wurley is A traditional Australian Aboriginal dwelling.

And in the USA, if you said there were a couple of old bogans behind the FOH mixer, they would think you were talking about an ancient amplifier brand.

Sean

Wurli makes more sense (WURLItzer), but I typically see Wurly.

pianotuner steveo

Sean, that's exactly what I thought when I saw "Bogans"

What Americans call Rednecks, the Australians call Bogans.

To see the word used in a sentence, see (whateverhappenedto) Aussie Jim bust on me for my choice of beer in 2008:

I wonder if Bogen amplifiers are known worldwide.

Sean

Well yes, my late drummer had a pair of Bogen amps
