Vintage Electric Piano for Busking?

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a setup for street busking (piano + vocals) but I want it to be compact and lightweight.

The types of songs I'm looking to perform are "stripped down" covers if you will, and the piano is serving minimal accompaniment so I don't need (or want) a full-length piano. I was looking into smaller pianos like the Vinage Vibe 44 but to be honest, I don't really know a lot about vintage pianos and thought I would get some advice about what would be best for what I personally want to do.

Should I even consider getting a vintage piano for busking or should I look into getting something newer?

Any help on this at all would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks!

Steveo, Busking is street entertainment  :)

Shayneorok, A wurlitzer or VV vintage piano would be a lot lighter than a Rhodes & perhaps easier to carry around.....

Kind regards
Julian

...but still kind of heavy.  You need to check one out in person.  Most street performers I've seen played horns or guitars, instruments that are relatively light compared to keyboards.  If I wanted an instrument for busking I would definitely consider a modern and lightweight keyboard.

I had no idea there was an actual word for street entertainers. I've never heard that word in my nearly 60 years!

Maybe it's because we don't really have any street entertainers around here...too small of a town I guess

What about a Hohner Pianet T?

The only drawback might be that it has no sustain pedal...
