Wurlitzer 200a Individual Note Volume

Good day everyone!

My first post after reading this forum for a while researching a 200a which I eventually bought. A great resource.

My 200a is in relatively good shape by my amateur account, however, the second E going down all the way to the left, save for a few notes are considerably louder than the rest of the keys. If I'm playing these louder bassy notes, it almost drowns out quieter notes at the higher end of the board. Anybody have some advice?

I would need to hear a clip to understand what is happening better. Does the action feel good or "mushy" on the quiet notes?

Funny enough, the action down there was 'mushy', but when looking for a resolution to the volume problem, i realized that the hum shield was installed too low so the dampers were hitting it. I fixed it and the mushyness went away and the action feels great, however the volume issue remains.

If it would help, i can try and post a video tomorrow. It's not a HUUGgge problem, but it seems like its just so close to being 100% that it's a bit annoying.

It could be a strike line issue. I doubt it's anything serious unless someone previously bent the pickup tabs, or filed the pickups around the reeds. I hope that is not the case....
