Hi all

I have two Wurlitzer model 200 in my house right now. One of them is 110V and the other is 230V.

Can I switch rails without any trouble? Put the 230V in the other one, and in that way "convert" it to 230V?

Yes, you can remove the rail from one piano and install it in the other.

If you ever wanted to convert that rail from 110v to 230v all you'd need to do is get a new transformer. All the other components are exactly the same.

I have 3 200 series models at my place at the moment. One of them is a US 117V and the other 2 are 230v.

Say for example you move the 230v rail over to the 110v piano the only thing you may find is that the 110v piano case might not have an IEC socket installed (currently the one I've got uses the old Wurlitzer 3 pin socket) so you may want to go ahead and change that.

Thanks for the reply :)

I cant just put a new plug on the american wire and that will work in an EU outlet?

Yes you could do that, it's only a wire taking electricity from the wall to the socket on the case.

I would always suggest replacing it with an IEC socket for safety. Reason being that the cable is now possibly 40 years old and maybe worn or having damage to the shielding and also the availability of IEC cables will make it easier if you ever lose the original or eventually need to replace it.
