My 100w cabinet keeps turning off

Hi guys,

Even though my amp still can't be connected to the Rhodes (I need to buy the matchmaker from vintage vibe), I tried to plug it in and connect it to the suitcase using a simple 6.35 mm jack, just to give it a try. It plays fine for a while but then the cabinet turns off.

Could this be a problem from the voltage converter? I live in the UK and the cabinet is US, so I use a converter to get to 130V.

Or could this be coming from my amps' fuse?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Cheers

130v sounds a bit high. US receptacles usually put out between 110-120 VAC, average where I live is 117v. Not sure if that is enough to make a big difference or not but it could be a possibility (overheating maybe?)

Cheers for the reply. It was actually a typo, it is a 110-120 converter :)

Have you actually measured the output voltage of the converter to be sure it is not exceeding 120v?

When it does work is the audio clear or distorted?
