Fender rhodes connected to digital keyboard workstation

A connection will work with digital keyboards supporting audio input? Also I plan on moving and don't have the top case to carry properly what would be a safe way getting in an elevator? Having it stand vertically shouldn't cause any mishaps?

My understanding is having it stand vertically won't affect the piano.
However, I'd be sure not to bang it about.  You never know what's going to shift on you.
