CP80 upright storage
« on: February 14, 2019, 05:07:45 AM »
I have an apartment that is roughly the size of a kidney bean and I’m wondering if it’s at all okay to sometimes pivot my CP80’s harp onto the hinges of the action and hang it vertically while I’m not using it.    It seems like a decent way to save a little space.

I can't see any reason why this would harm it. But you'll need to put a sheet over everything to keep dust out. And you will be making it easier for vermin to get to the felt components.

Use "bat repellent" to keep out mice, moths, etc. this is a a pouch of stuff that smells like peppermint, and is available in most hardware stores or home centers. If you can't find this, peppermint oil on cotton balls will work, but be careful the oil doesn't drip into any part of the piano.
